Alias Smith & Jones

The Episodes

Universal Studios Season 1
of ‘Alias Smith & Jones’ on DVD

(includes the Pilot episode)

On The Dick Cavett Show: Comic Legends, Dick narrates both a rehearsal and a master shot scene of his acting debut on Alias Smith & Jones from the episode '21 Days to Tenstrike.' In The Dick Cavett Show 1 you'll see Pete 'off-camera' as well as rehearsing; in The Dick Cavett Show 2 you'll see Pete filmed in a 'master shot,' wherein the entire scene is filmed from one camera.

For a complete episode guide of the series, along with summaries, starring guests, etc., visit Alias Smith & Jones Scenes. Below are the episode titles of the 33 shows that starred Pete Duel and Ben Murphy, along with active links to some of my favorite scenes from that particular episode.

Alias Smith & Jones was about Hannibal Heyes and Kid Curry, two outlaws who opt to go straight for one year via a secret deal with the law in order to receive amnesty from the Governor of Wyoming. Numerous guest stars included Earl Holliman, James Drury, and Sally Field.

*The Day They Hanged Kid Curry was a 90-minute season opener for the second season of Alias Smith & Jones, and is occasionally aired as a TV Movie, as is The Gun and the Nun, a TV movie compiled from two episodes of Alias Smith & Jones (“Wrong Train to Brimstone” and “The Reformation of Harry Briscoe”).
