REMEMBERING PETE DUEL

Please post your thoughts below. The previous Memorial Book was receiving too much spam, so I had to close it and start this page instead. The previous memorial page also had hundreds of remembrances. I hope to someday transfer them here.
There may be a delay between when you leave your thoughts below and when your post appears, but rest assured, the post will eventually be published. Please keep in mind that many questions still remain about Peter’s state of mind in those final days of his life. One recent question is how much of a role the anti-seizure drug, Dilantin, played on his thoughts. Perhaps Pete was a victim of a pharmaceutical drug and not so much of self-inflicted depression. Also note that Geoffrey Deuel sometimes visited this page. Thank you.
It’s 54 yrs today that your family and your fans around the world lost you. My heart is heavy. You are still loved and thought about often Pete—and thanks to the magic of TV and the internet will never be forgotten.

Another year nearly gone and you are still so missed by so many of us devoted fans. It’s still so very sad after all these years. Dear Pete, you should have been here with us so much longer. You will never leave my heart, Pete.
Pete was such a lovely, gentle presence in my life growing up in the 70s. Thank you, Pete, for all the memories and constantly cheering me up even though I never met you xx
I was a child when he died and I was very sad. We went to Universal Studios shortly after he passed as a family. I remember walking around the studio in a daze. I could not believe my dream guy had died. I watched the show just to see him. I thought he was so cute….really cute!! Too bad he did not realized how much he was loved by his fans.
I remember Pete as Hannibal Heyes as if 54 years ago were last week. That show was thrilling to watch, and I loved every minute. Pete’s untimely death was a great shock and I remember talking about it 20 years later with a friend, who said the news had affected him very deeply. Strange why I suddenly thought of Pete today. Perhaps it’s so I can say thank you, Pete, for your part in a show which was ground-breaking TV; and thanks for being Pete Duel.
